發展智慧城市是全球大勢所趨。在香港，不少科研人才亦積極研發新科技，務求打造智慧生活環境。多間參與香港科技園公司創業培育計劃的初創企業，便分別於生活上不同範疇，如智能家居管理、城市空間效益等，研製出新產品或平台，利用科技為生活帶來方便。

住屋是不少港人最關注的議題，由初創企業開設的平台置業易(Echouse)，就為置業人士帶來方便。該平台除免費提供地產及樓盤資訊，亦加入室內設計及家居服務等元素，更提供360度實景睇樓。該公司執行董事葉朗軒指，透過平台，置業人士安坐家中，便可睇盡香港或海外樓盤，「比傳統睇樓嘅方式，大大節省時間。」
